Every Time You Go

One morning , before going to court to deal with my case, I stopped at a cafe for a cake. There was a wooded area behind it. I recognized my friend of the mission. I knew that if he was not there that something was wrong.

I walked over to where my friend was and asked if he had been drinking. He said: " Can you tell little . ? " . I said : "Yes , a little. . " I said , " we'll get inside and sober. " . We went inside and shared a cup of coffee and we had a pleasant conversation. I told him to go back to the mission and I expected to see him on Saturday night when I came to the service.

He was my friend . He knew the lyrics to all the songs when I forgot the words to bring me back on track . Once I was at the mall . His friends called him on his cell phone and said, "Laura come tonight . " . He rushed to the mission. When I arrived , he said : "I hope you know that I came back for you. " .

On another occasion , he gave me a little book and wrote . " Whenever you go, you leave something behind ." He came and went over the years . I would like to know how it is.

I had another friend who kept in touch with me. I got to know your partner well . My friend is still struggling , but our friendship is unconditional.

I received a phone call from a man in another state that wanted to tell his story. We laughed and cried for two hours and I had to reboot my phone.

I met a dear friend , while my husband and I were supporting someone at their annual meeting sobriety. I invited him to go on a mission and he was with us every month last year I was there.

After leading the Christmas program before leaving, men have expressed what it meant for all the years they had served them.

My dear friends had nothing for me, but their heart . I miss them terribly. Some I was able to stay in touch with. You all in my heart and memory . I think we will meet in heaven one day. Whenever you go somewhere , you leave something behind . Do something lasting and eternal.
